Combat AI & Central Hub

1.5.3-alphaPATCHDecember 10, 2025

Improved AI evaluation for realistic combat. New central hub area. Hit markers added. Brawler stacking mechanics. FOV set to 60.

DEV NOTES_

This patch focuses on combat feel. The AI evaluation layer has been rebuilt to create more realistic enemy behavior. Enemies now actually react to the flow of combat—they'll press advantages, retreat when outmatched, and coordinate with their squad in ways that feel organic rather than scripted.

The Central Hub gives players a home base to return to between missions. It's where you'll interact with NPCs, manage your loadout, and prepare for the next operation. We wanted a space that felt lived-in, a contrast to the hostile environments you'll be fighting through.

Hit markers were the most-requested feedback feature. That satisfying confirmation when your shots connect makes combat infinitely more readable. You know immediately when you're landing damage versus when enemies are blocking or evading.

Brawler players get a new stacking mechanic—each melee hit builds stacks up to 5, increasing damage output. It rewards aggressive play and commitment to close-quarters combat.

We've also locked FOV to 60 for a more cinematic feel. This was a deliberate choice to frame the action in a way that emphasizes the game's visual design.
