Act 1 Prologue & Hub Terminals
New quest: Act 1 Prologue. Dedicated Shop and Equipment terminals. New character Aria with healing abilities. Party UI for companions. Movement speed increased 10%.
Happy New Year! We're kicking off 2026 with the official Act 1 Prologue—your first real introduction to the Runners and the world they're fighting to protect.
The Hub has been completely restructured. Instead of cramming everything into a single terminal, we now have dedicated Shop and Equipment stations. It's a small change that makes a big difference in usability. You know exactly where to go when you need to gear up versus when you're looking to spend those hard-earned CREDS.
Meet Aria, our newest addition to the cast. She's a Medbay specialist with healing and support abilities. Chain Crisis has always leaned aggressive, so having a dedicated healer changes team compositions in meaningful ways. Her "Experiments" menu is a fun side feature—optional gameplay modifiers with some humorous effects. Think of it as our way of letting you customize the chaos.
The Party UI finally gives you visibility into your companions' status during missions. No more guessing if Kiro is about to go down—you'll see health bars and ability cooldowns for everyone in your squad.
We also bumped base movement speed by 10%. The game just feels snappier now. Sometimes the smallest changes have the biggest impact on moment-to-moment gameplay.
